Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

Draft for review. Items in [square brackets] must be completed. Have these terms reviewed by a qualified solicitor before launch so they match your commercial model and protect the business properly.

1. Agreement

These terms govern use of the RouteCheck service, including our software and survey services, provided by RouteCheck Ltd (company number 17236415, registered office 152 Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, HP12 3JG). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you use RouteCheck on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business, and “you” means that business.

2. The service

RouteCheck provides LiDAR-based delivery-clearance surveys and related software. A survey result is a professional assessment based on the measurements taken and the information provided. It is guidance to support delivery planning — it is not a guarantee that any particular item will or will not fit, and it does not replace the judgement of the delivery team on the day.

3. Accounts and eligibility

The service is for business use. You are responsible for keeping account credentials (including crew PINs) secure and for all activity carried out under your accounts. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for: providing accurate item dimensions and delivery information; obtaining any consent required from the occupier before a survey; ensuring lawful access to the property; and the safe conduct of any delivery. You must use the service in line with these terms and applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, or using it to process data you have no right to process. We may suspend access where use threatens the security or integrity of the service.

6. Data protection

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a processor, that processing is governed by a separate data-processing agreement between us; you remain responsible, as controller, for having a lawful basis and appropriate consents for the underlying data.

7. Intellectual property

RouteCheck and its software, branding and content are owned by RouteCheck Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business during your subscription. Survey reports produced for you may be used for your delivery-planning purposes.

8. Fees

Fees, where applicable, are set out in your plan or order. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and are payable in advance. Plan details and inclusions are described on our pricing page and in your order.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may carry out maintenance or update features from time to time. We provide the service with reasonable skill and care but otherwise without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RouteCheck is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from delivery decisions taken on the basis of a survey result. Our total liability is limited as set out in your agreement with us [confirm liability cap]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Termination

Either party may end the agreement in line with the plan or order terms. On termination your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as liability, intellectual property and governing law) continue to apply. Data handling after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date below shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
